We’ve got three full days to dive into the energy and excitement of Tokyo, and there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of them.
Our accommodation base in the heart of Shinjuku means you’ll be surrounded by vibrant streets, endless activities, and nightlife that goes well into the early hours.
Take your pick from unforgettable experiences—venture out on a day trip to Mt Fuji, chase thrills at Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea, or unwind at the mesmerizing TeamLab Planets. Feeling adventurous? Jump into a real-life video game by Mario Karting through the streets of Tokyo after dark. And for all you shopaholics, explore districts like Harajuku’s youth fashion, Ginza’s upscale boutiques, or the tech-filled wonderland of Akihabara. No Tokyo trip is complete without a stop at the iconic Shibuya Crossing—just a quick train ride away.
When night falls, we’ll hit the town together, exploring Tokyo’s eclectic bar scene—from the cozy, character-filled lanes of Golden Gai to the pulsing nightclubs of Shinjuku. And of course, grab a late-night drink or two from one of Tokyo’s many 24/7 convenience stores.
Time to settle into our accommodation and prepare for a massive night out in Tokyo.

Once we have checked in, we’ll collect our snow gear and get ready for the week ahead.

This morning at 9:00 AM, your private transfer departs Hakuba for Kyoto, marking the final stretch of your adventure. The scenic six-hour journey offers a chance to rest and take in Japan’s shifting landscapes.
Once in Kyoto, dive into rich cultural experiences—visit the shimmering Golden Pavilion, stroll through the peaceful Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and explore the historic Gion district where geishas still walk. From traditional tea ceremonies to cozy alleys filled with artisan shops and winter charm, Kyoto is the perfect finale to your journey.
After a little last-minute shopping and sightseeing, it’s time to say a fond farewell to Japan.
The group’s private transfer will pick you up from the accommodation at 6:30pm this evening, heading to KIX Airport for your flight home.

2026 NEWSKI NEW ZEALAND TRIP – PARTICIPATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your purchase of tickets for, and attendance at, the 2026 NEW ZEALAND NEWSKI Trip (the “Trip”). It is your responsibility to review these Terms prior to the purchase of Your ticket.
By purchasing a ticket and registering for this Trip, You confirm that You understand, agree to, and accept all Terms listed here.
1. You acknowledge You are fit to participate in the Trip. Participation is Your choice, and You assume any and all risks associated with Trip activities which may lead to loss, injury, disability or death.
a. These risks include but are not limited to sickness, slipping, falling, allergic reactions, unaccustomed physical exertion, changes in weather conditions, inadequate supervision, travel on public or unsealed roads, failure in vehicles, equipment and facilities, collisions with natural and man-made objects, variations in terrain, the actions of other individuals and wildlife, and other events outside NEWSKI’s control.
b. You agree to release, defend and indemnify NEWSKI from any and all liability incurred of any kind whatsoever in any way arising out of Your participation in the Trip.
2. Your travel insurance will only be issued once the full Trip fare has been paid. It is Your responsibility to ensure you have an appropriate level of travel insurance cover suitable for your personal circumstances and to protect against any additional loss or damage that may occur. If You do not elect to arrange additional insurance cover, You do so at Your own risk.
3. You are solely responsible for Your personal belongings and equipment during the Trip.
4. At all times during the Trip (including travelling to and from New Zealand) You will comply with the Code of Behaviour. You understand this means You will:
a. Exercise good judgment and act in a safe and responsible manner while attending the Trip and participating in Trip activities;
b. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others (including fellow NEWSKI members, service providers and members of the public);
c. Not do anything which is likely to intimidate, offend, insult or humiliate another person involved in the Trip on the basis of their sex, disability, race, colour, age, religion, national or ethnic origin;
d. Avoid behaviour that is perceived to be threatening, intimidating or causes any person to fear for their personal safety or well-being;
e. Not use or possess any illegal or prohibited drugs or substances during the Trip;
f. Comply with all local laws and customs and follow all rules and regulations, safety instructions and reasonable directions given by NEWSKI Executives and/or any third-party service providers which may be involved in delivering the Trip.
5. NEWSKI Executive reserves the right to remove You from the Trip at any time, should You breach the Code of Behaviour, or where such action is determined by the NEWSKI Executive to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general welfare of others.
a. Removal from the Trip is at Your cost and there is no right of refund or appeal.
b. NEWSKI may, in its sole discretion, take further action to suspend You from attending future events, and/or terminate Your NEWSKI membership.
c. You will be required to replace any property that is lost or damaged through my careless or otherwise negligent behaviour.
6. This Trip is offered by NEWSKI, a student run club at UNSW; however, NEWSKI has engaged third party service providers to deliver the Trip. You understand that NEWSKI does not own, operate or control any of these service providers, accepts no liability for the provision of such services, and makes no warranty as to their quality and standard.
7. You acknowledge that the Trip is subject to a range of circumstances and conditions that may not meet Your expectations and that NEWSKI has no reasonable control over. Accordingly, NEWSKI is under no obligation to refund any part of the costs paid by You if You are not satisfied with any aspect of the Trip irrespective of the reason, or offer compensation.
8. Refunds will be provided if government mandated COVID-19 protocols cancel the Trip.
9. If you purchase a ticket and can no longer attend the Trip, You must first notify NEWSKI in writing, and a suitable replacement must be found to receive a refund. After Your replacement has paid the full fare, You will receive a refund equal to the amount paid by You, minus a $500 administrative fee. Full refunds are subject to name change fees and could include an additional $100. Should a suitable replacement not be found, the Trip ticket price is non-refundable.
10. For those who have selected to pay the initial deposit only:
a. Payments (after the deposit) will be made through the NEWSKI website.
b. You agree to be contacted by email and SMS for reminders of these upcoming payments.
c. You agree to pay the next instalments of the Trip fare on time; failure to pay on the communicated date will result in cancellation of Your ticket to participate in the Trip and forfeiture of any money already paid.
11. While there are opportunities to express room preferences, (and attempts will be made to accommodate requests), the final room allocations will be determined by the NEWSKI Executive.
12. By participating in this Event, You agree to being filmed or photographed which may be used for NEWSKI marketing or promotional purposes.
